LAKEWOOD, CO- The Colorado Christian University women's soccer team had a match against divisional opponent, Adams State University on Sunday at Trailblazer Stadium.

The Cougars opened the game with an early offensive push culminating in a beautiful upper 90 goal from Sophia Tagge in the 8th minute of play assisted by Olivia Maxfield. This was Tagge's 3rd goal of the season. Despite many offensive attacks the rest of the half remained scoreless on both sides.

Adams state kicked off the 2nd half by scoring a goal in the 49th minute of play and carried the momentum into another goal in the 64th minute. CCU was unable to find the back of the net in the second half and the game ended 2-1 in favor of the Grizzlies.

The Cougars play again versus Colorado School of Mines on Friday, October 10th, at Trailblazer Stadium at 11 a.m. MDT.
