LAKEWOOD, CO- The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced their All-Region teams on Friday, and three Cougars were named to the Second Team for their efforts this year. 

Kat Hanson has been named Second Team All-Region after an incredible season for the sophomore from Arizona. Hanson has earned an impressive .474 batting average, a 1.297 OPS, a .791 slugging percentage and an on-base percentage of .506. With 67 runs scored in 211 at-bats, Kat has tallied 100 hits, 20 doubles, 4 triples and 13 homers for 65 RBI. Her fielding at second base has been solid as well with 111 putouts, 106 assists and just eight errors for a .964 fielding percentage. Hanson has been lights out all season and has been there for her team all season when they needed her most. 

Arriana Wright transferred into Colorado Christian for her senior season and has been outstanding for the Cougars. Playing at first base, the senior from Texas has been incredible with 381 putouts, 13 assists and no errors for a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage. With her powerful bat she has blasted 18 homers with 4 triples and 15 doubles for a team high 81 RBI. Hitting for an average of .404, an OPS of 1.294 and a slugging percentage of .814, Wright has been pivotal to her teams' historic success this season. 
 

Felesha LePenske earned All-Region honors for her efforts in the circle as she has been the ace for the Cougars all year. Holding an outstanding record of 23-1, LePenske has an ERA of 2.74 with a WHIP of 1.15. The sophomore from California has struck out 107 batters through 145.2 innings pitched with an opposing batting average of .250. With 14 complete games and a pair of shutouts, Felesha has only walked 26 batters and has faced 563 batters. Earning a team high in victories, Felesha has been excellent all season and will continue to lead her team into the postseason.
