LAKEWOOD, CO- The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) announced their volleyball players of the week on Monday, and after a 2-0 start to conference play on the road, two Cougars have earned Setter and Defensive Player of the Week honors. 

Krista Traynor earned her first Setter of the Week award after a fantastic pair of games to open RMAC play. In game one of the week at Chadron State, Krista dished out a career high 59 assists as she led her team to a five-set victory over the Eagles in the conference opener. Traynor tallied 17 digs in the contest as well as she affected all areas of the game. She followed it up with an impressive triple-double in a four-set win at Regis, tallying 29 assists, 15 digs and 10 kills in an excellent night for the senior from Washington. With 78 assists and 32 digs with double-digit kills as well, Traynor showed she is one of the best all around players in the RMAC and has been awarded for her efforts. 

Allie Allen claimed Defensive Player of the Week honors as she got off to a blistering start in her first two games starting at libero. The true freshman from Corpus Christi, Texas showed just how bright her future is with the Cougars as she had a phenomenal RMAC opener at Chadron State with an eye-popping 35 digs to help her team to a five-set victory on the road. The talented libero followed her best performance of the season up with another stellar outing at Regis, notching 22 digs in a four-set win over the Rangers. With a tremendous total of 57 digs across two wins for her team, Allen was a major contributor and led the back row with her passing and digging skills.
