Colorado Christian women battled Fort Lewis for 90 minutes but came up short as they were defeated 1-0. The Skyhawks came into the game as the top team in the RMAC and ranked 15
th nationally. Both teams were engaged in a defensive battle throughout the game, but Fort Lewis was able to secure the victory late in the second half.

Both defenses had the game deadlocked at zero throughout the game until Fort Lewis was finally able to break down the CCU barrier and score the lone goal of the game with only a little over five minutes left in the game. Junior
Claire LaValley got the start in goal for Christian today and was phenomenal as she came up with some big saves which kept her team in the game. Coach
Tammy McPherson utilized her bench today as she was able to rotate players in and out which kept her team's legs fresh and able to keep up with the speed of Fort Lewis.

With the loss the Cougars drop to 0-11-2 on the season. They will be heading on the road for their next contest as they make their way down to face off against New Mexico Highlands University on Friday. Game time is scheduled for 4pm MST.
