Cougars Add Three Signees

LAKEWOOD, CO - As the Cougars enter their season, they officially added three commits to the 2022 roster.

Nicole Bowlin

Nicole BowlinBowlin is from Edina, Montana. She is a 5'5" point guard that will bring a refreshing level of skill to the program.

She was awarded All-State Honorable Mention and All-Conference in high school. She also earned Offensive Player of the Year and was made Team MVP. Bowlin led her team to state in the 2018-2019 season with their 20-5 overall record.

Head Coach Diane Thompson says, "Bowlin is a winner with a high IQ. She played for the top club teams in the country and will elevate the program to the next level"



Victoria Perez 

Victoria PerezA native from El Paso, Texas, Perez is a point guard who will carry on the family trend as her sister also played collegiate basketball.

The impressive incoming freshman is a three-time district MVP, three-time Team MVP and three-time All-City athlete. She was all awarded All-Region by recording 18 points per game, averaging 6.1 rebounds per game, 4.6 assists per game and 5.2 steals per game.

In addition to these numerous awards, Perez is a three-time District and Bi-District Champion. She tallied 1,000 points her sophomore year.

"Perez has grit. Her commitment to find the basket will be a great addition to the team. She will help us offensively and speed up our game defensively" says Thompson.


Aleksandra Clayton 

Alekandra ClaytonA 5'10" shooting guard from Mansfield, Texas, Clayton looks to add a new dynamic to the team.

Clayton was awarded Honorable Mention and Academic All-District in 2020. She led her team to the Bi-District Championship where they took home the victory. In addition, was also added to the Pinstripe Invitational All-Tournament Team.

Thompson had this to say about Clayton, "with her height and athleticism she can guard multiple positions. She will be an all-around useful asset to the program."
