LAKEWOOD, CO – The end of the season awards have started to roll in for the Cougars after an exciting season.

Sydney Reamer and Piper Lujan have been recognized by multiple All Region teams for their excellence on the field this year.

Reamer was named to the first team of both the NFCA South Central All Region Team and the D2CCA South Central All Region Team which both consist of teams from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and the Lone Star conference which is one of the best softball conferences in the country.

 Thanks to a season in which she hit .430 with 19 2B and 10 home runs to go along with 38 RBI from the leadoff spot. Reamer also struck out only three times in 142 at bats which was second best on the team. Reamer also had 18 multi-hit games including going 4-4 in the Cougars shutout win over Colorado Mesa in the RMAC tournament.

Piper Lujan had the best power hitting season ever for a Cougar as she hit 15 home runs and had a slugging percentage of .871, both marks which are the best all time for a Cougars hitter. Lujan also hit .443 and drove in 53 runs, both numbers which were best on the team. For her offensive prowess Lujan was named to the D2CCA South Central All Region First Team and the NFCA South Central All Region Second Team.

The NFCA awards are voted on by the coaches in the region while the D2CCA awards are voted on by the Sports Information Directors in the conference.
