LAKEWOOD, CO – The Collegiate Commissioners Association has released their 2021 All-American Softball Team. A collection of the best Division II players in the country were selected for their performances this season.

The RMAC had a strong showing as five players were selected to the first team. Lauren Wedman and Ellie Smith were selected from Colorado Mesa along with Shelby Robb from MSU Denver and Brianna Santos from UCCS. Rounding out the list was Colorado Christian's own Piper Lujan.

Piper was named to the D2CCA All-American for the first team after a season in which she was the Cougars leader in average, hits, home runs, RBI and slugging percentage. Lujan also set the Cougars single season record for home runs and slugging percentage. 28 of Lujan's 68 hits were for extra bases while ranking second in the RMAC in home runs and third in RBI. Lujan is the first Cougar to be named as a first team All-American since Stephanie Day made the NFCA All-American first team in 2018.

Sydney Reamer continued her fantastic season, being named to the second team which gave the Cougars Two All-Americans, which tied for the most in the RMAC with Colorado Mesa and was tied for third most overall behind Augustana who had four and Valdosta State with three.

Reamer was named an All-American for the first time after she helped lead the Cougars to the RMAC championship game. Reamer led the team in extra base hits, doubles and runs scored while only striking out three times in 142 at-bats. Reamer was second in the RMAC in doubles and third in runs scored. Had the best strikeout percentage in the RMAC, striking out in just over 2% of her at-bats.

Reamer is the second Cougar to be named to the D2CCA Second Team since Stephanie Day was named to the second team in 2019.
