AMARILLO, TX- Colorado Christian headed to Amarillo, Texas October 3-4 to take part in the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational at the Amarillo Country Club. The Cougars took eighth out of 17 teams competing led by a strong effort from Xavier Bighaus.
ROUND ONE
Bighaus led off day one with a 71 on the par 70 course, while Dylan Arthur also posted a 71. Adam Duncan carded a 72 and Zach Slayton matched his teammate with a 72. Camron Reddell closed with a 73 in the first round of play.
ROUND TWO
Bighaus was even better in round two, netting three birdies to post a 69 for one under par on the day. Arthur totaled six birdies en route to an impressive score of 68. Duncan tallied a 73 while Reddell posted a 75 on the round. Slayton closed with a 78 as the team headed to the final round of play.
ROUND THREE
Bighaus turned it on in the third round, picking up an astounding eight birdies to finish four under par overall with a 66 on the round as he tied for fourth place. Arthur was strong again, carding a 71 to tie for 14th overall. Duncan tallied a 72 to tie for 50th place. Reddell put up a 72 as he came in 61st. Slayton closed with a 73 as he tied for 70th at the invite.
A total team score of 852 saw CCU finish in a tie for eighth out of the 17 teams competing.
UP NEXT- Colorado Christian remains in Texas as they head to Wichita Falls to play in the Midwestern State Invitational October 10-11.
