Colorado Christian hit the road to compete in the Mountaineer Open Indoor Track and Field Meet hosted by Western Colorado in Gunnison, CO. It was a historic day on the track for the men's team as school records were shattered in multiple events on the day. It was a great showing from the team in only the second meet of the season.

Tyler Bradley competed in both the 60M Sprints as well as the 200M Sprints, and in both events he posted career best times for Indoor events, and set new school records and posted NCAA National Qualifying times. In the 60M, Bradley posted a NCAA Provisional time of 6.96 in the finals which bested his previous career best 7.02 which he ran in 2021. That time is also the first time that a CCU runner has ran faster than seven seconds in the event to set a new school record. In the 200M, Bradley took first place in the event after running a time of 21.92, which beat his previous record of 22.25, and was the first runner in CCU history to run the 200M in under 22 seconds.

Also having stellar performances on the day for the Cougars were the runners that competed in the distance events on the day. Matthew Storer competed in the 5000M and after applying an altitude conversion of his time of 13:56, it calculates out to be a new school record for CCU. Following close behind Storer were teammates Alexander Vance (14:14.16), and Trent Cochran (14:15.80). The trio of runners finished second, third and fourth in the race and all ran NCAA National qualifying times.

Hudson Majeski also ran his way near the top of the CCU record books as he competed in the Mile, and he finished with a converted time of 4:01.10, and it became the second fastest mile in program history.

Another great day on the track for the team as they continue to make good impressions wherever they are competing. The team will now have a bit of break between their next event as the next meet is scheduled for January 21st at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.
