Colorado Christian will be playing host once again for another RMAC battle as Chadron State is traveling into town to take on the Cougars in a mid-week matchup on Wednesday December 7
th. The Cougars will be entering the game with a 5-3 record overall, and 1-1 in conference play, while the Eagles are coming into the game with a record of 1-7 overall, and 1-1 in conference play. CCU will then hit the road for a weekend matchup with Western Colorado in Gunnison on Saturday December 10
th.

Chadron State Breakdown:Â Â Â Â Chadron will be coming into the game on Wednesday after securing their first win of the season their last time out as they defeated New Mexico Highlands 89-60 to improve their overall record to 1-7 overall and 1-1 in conference play. CCU will be looking to continue their strong play against the Eagles as they have won seven of their last ten matchups including winning the last four games in a row.

The Eagles will look to their star sophomore Ashayla Powers to lead them, and will rely on her to lead their offense. Powers, a sophomore from Longmont, CO, currently ranks third in the RMAC for points scored per game with 17.4 and also adds a team leading 6.5 rebounds per game. Another player the Cougars will have to key in on will be senior guard Samiyah Worrell. Worrell averages 8.1 points per game and leads the team with 18 assists on the year, and eight steals.

Western Colorado Breakdown:Â Â Â Â Western currently has a record of 1-6 overall, and 0-2 in conference play. They will also be taking on Chadron State on Friday night December 9
th, prior to their matchup with CCU on Saturday, so their record will change before the game with Colorado Christian. Their lone win of the year came back on November 19
th as they took down Texas A&M University-Kingsville 62-56 in overtime. The Cougars will be looking to snap a six-game losing streak against the Mountaineers, as their last victory was back on 1/12/2018.

The Mountaineers are led by a powerful sophomore Rachel Cockman who leads the team in points with 14.9, rebounding with 7.6 and has also blocked a team leading nine shots on the year. Also leading the team is fifth year player Emmery Wagstaff who averages 14.4 points per game. Wagstaff is a defensive presence on the court as she has notched 11 steals already on the year. Â

CCU Breakdown:Â Â Â Â The Cougars are one of the most well-rounded teams in all of the RMAC, with talent throughout the roster that has the ability to be game changers as evidenced by the fact that CCU has five players averaging over nine points per game. Their team-oriented mindset has helped them get off to such a great start early in the season.

Colorado Christian is led on the year by
Regan LoConte who is averaging 10.5 PPG, followed by
Dasiya Jones who is averaging 10.0 PPG.
Agnes Paul wreaks havoc on the inside and is almost averaging a double-double on the year. Paul is averaging 9.9 PPG, and currently leads all of the RMAC in rebounding as she averages 9.5 rebounds per game.
The Cougs have several weapons from beyond the arc including sharpshooter
Victoria Perez. Perez currently is third in the RMAC in three point field goal percentage at .447 as she has knocked down 21 of 47 shots from long range to go along with averaging 9.3 PPG.
Tessa Hauser has also had a great start to the year as she is averaging 9.5 points per game.
Maggie Hutka is also another player to watch out for from the Cougs, as she has the ability to go off and score at will like she did in the game earlier this season against Alaska Fairbanks when she scored 22 and grabbed 12 rebounds to secure a double-double. In the last game against CSU Pueblo, Hutka scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds.
