BOULDER CITY, NV- The Cougars competed in Nevada for the second time in a week at the Jackrabbit Invitational Friday through Saturday. Colorado Christian performed at a high level, tying for fourth at a tournament with a number of division one schools.
ROUND ONE
Dylan Arthur led off the first of two rounds on Friday with a 74 for two over par. Zach Slayton and Cameron Sandland both shot a 75 in round one and Xavier Bighaus posted a 77. Adam Duncan shot an 80.
ROUND TWO
The second round Friday was led by Bighaus who cut two strokes to post a 73. Arthur followed him with a 75 and Sandland, Slayton and Duncan all tied in round two with a 76.
ROUND THREE
Arthur shot one under par at 71 in the final round on Saturday to finish in a tie for 11th. Bighaus posted a 72 to finish tied for 18th. Duncan shone in the third round, posting an impressive 68 to tie for 24th. Slayton tied his teammate at 24th with a final round of 73. Sandland matched his round two score of 76 in the final round to finish in a tie for 40th.
Colorado Christian finished in a tie for fourth as a team with an overall score of 884.
UP NEXT- The Cougars will have a month off from competition before returning to action April 11-12 at the Southern Colorado Masters in Pueblo.
