LAKEWOOD,CO- After an incredible season for the Cougars, Sami Edwards has been named an All American as announced by the NFCA on Wednesday.

Edwards achieves the honor after one of the best seasons CCU softball has ever seen. She led her team with a batting average of .475, an OPS of 1.382, 94 hits, 21 doubles, 10 triples, 171 total bases and a slugging percentage of .864. 

Edwards now holds the program record for doubles and triples in a season as well as total bases. She finished with an on base percentage of .518 as she showed incredible consistency throughout the season. 

For her incredible achievements on the field, Sami Edwards has been honored as an All American.
