Colorado Christian is getting ready to kick off the new year in 2023 as they square off against Adam State University at the CCU Event Center in Lakewood, CO on 1/13/2023, and Fort Lewis on 1/14/2023. The Cougars will be looking to get back on the right track and improve their season record.
 
Adams State is coming into the matchup with a 3-12 overall record, and are 1-8 in conference play. Adams State is being led by Rylan O'Brien who currently leads the team by averaging 15.6 PPG from the point guard position as he also leads the team in total assists with 64. Kaelin Crane also leads the team averaging PPG along with Jordan Notch who also averages double figures averaging 13.3 PPG. Malik More leads the team a averaging 6.7 RPG.
 
After squaring off against the Grizzlies, the Cougars will be tasked with a tough test in facing off against the Fort Lewis Skyhawks. The Skyhawks are currently one of the best teams in the conference as they have a 13-1 record overall, and are 7-1 in conference play. They are led on the year by Akuel Kot who has averaged 25.1 PPG, along with Brendan Boatwright who averages 11.2 PPG. Also leading the team has been JaQuaylon Mays who averages 11.0 PPG and Obi Agbim who averages 10.4 PPG.
 
The Cougars are led this year by Jason Gallant who is averaging 13.4 PPG and also leads the team with 48 assists on the year. Also leading the team is PG DJ McDonald who is averaging 12.6 PPG, along with Noah Kon who is averaging 11.2 PPG. Isaiah Alonzo is a double-double threat as he averages 9.7 PPG and leads the team by averaging 6.0 RPG.
 
The Cougs currently sit with a 6-9 overall record and are 2-7 in conference play, but are looking to right the ship in the new year and turn things around in the new year. Come out to the CCU Event Center on Friday 1/13/23 to watch the Cougars square off against Adams State, followed by a matchup with Fort Lewis on Saturday 1/14/23.
