Box Score The Cougars were tasked with a tough test on Saturday night as they took on Fort Lewis who is currently in second place in the RMAC with a 14-1 record. Fort Lewis jumped out to an early lead and never looked back as they took down the Cougars by a final score of 80-62.
 
Fort Lewis jumped out to an early lead thanks to a hot shooting start which propelled them to the early lead. The Skyhawks had a defensive mindset in the first half as they held CCU to just 24 points. Noah Kon led the way offensively in the first half as he scored 11 points to keep CCU within striking distance. At the halftime break the score was 41-24 in favor of Fort Lewis.
 
In the second half, the Cougars did their best to get back into the game, but it was not meant to be as Fort Lewis remained hot from the field making it difficult for the Cougs to claw back into it. CCU shot the ball much better in the second as they finished the half shooting 50% (13-26).
 
Isaiah Alonzo finished as the team's leading scorer in the game as he finished with 18 points on 7-12 shooting from the floor. DJ McDonald also had a strong game as he finished with 15 points and Noah Kon had 12.
 
CCU is now 7-10 on the season and will be back in action on the road next Friday night. They will be making the quick trip over to Regis University where they will take on the Rangers on Friday January 20^th tipping off at 7PM MST.
