LAKEWOOD, CO- Colorado Christian Athletics is pleased to announce the hiring of five new graduate assistants for the 2023-2024 athletics season.
Sydney Priddy joins the women's basketball program after playing for the Cougars from 2021-2023. She played a key role on the team during the 2021-2022 season before unfortunately getting injured before the 2022-23 season when she could not play with the team. Priddy made her impact felt in many ways still though, helping coach the team and take on many assistant duties alongside head coach Diane Thompson. Sydney is married, and her husband Riley works as an elementary school PE teacher. Outside of coaching basketball, Priddy enjoys reading, running and finding new coffee shops. Sydney has been an integral part of the team as a player at CCU, and now has the unique and rewarding opportunity to give back to the team with her knowledge of the game as a coach.

Gabe Ramos returns to the CCU baseball program as the graduate assistant after a stellar two years as a player for the Cougars. Ramos is originally from Jurupa Valley, California and spent his first two years at Azusa Pacific University before transferring to Colorado Christian. Gabe played in all 51 games the Cougars played in 2023, playing in right field. He led the team in homeruns with 19 and RBI with 53. He recorded 60 hits while scoring 48 runs. Now, Ramos looks forward to giving back to the team that helped develop him so much. '"Leave your Jersey in a better place,' was something that [Assistant Coach] Andrew Liberty used to always say, and I wanted an extra two years to leave that mark on the program and help lead these men to be more like Christ, prepared for life, and to always be selfless for your brothers around you," Gabe said.
Anna Schuchardt joins the women's soccer program after playing alongside Head Coach Anne Metz at John Brown University and getting her undergraduate degree in nursing. The pair spent three years together playing for the Golden Eagles and now have the chance to coach alongside one another and help the next generation of soccer at CCU. A native of Leawood, Kansas, Schuchardt brings a vast knowledge of the game from her playing experience, and she knows what it takes to succeed at the collegiate level after having done so herself at JBU. Anna will surely make an impact as she brings a focused vision alongside Metz to develop the program into a successful one that competes for an RMAC title.
Jake Kampf comes to the men's basketball program from Principia College where he starred as a player there and got his undergraduate
degree in Experiential Education. Kampf was an integral part of his team at Principia, being named team MVP, most inspirational and serving as team captain. A sharpshooter from beyond the arc, Jake ranked top ten in the country in three-pointers (84) and three-point percentage (44.7%) his senior year. Kampf already plays an important role on the team, taking on many assistant coach roles as he works with players and pours over film to make sure the team is prepared for the upcoming season. Jake already has coaching experience at Saint Louis Basketball Academy as he specialized in college and high school player training, and he will bring his expertise to the program to help them grow over the years to come.
Sydney Reamer embarks on her first year as the graduate assistant for the softball team after a storied playing career for the Cougars from 2020-2022. After taking a year away from the sport in 2023 to teach kindergarten in Highlands Ranch, Reamer now returns to a team that had a large impact on her. She made an impact on the team during her playing time, becoming one of the best to play third base for the program and helped lead the team to their first ever RMAC Tournament Championship. Originally from West Wendover, Nevada, Sydney has played softball since she was five years old, and she will bring a lot to the 2024 squad and beyond as the Cougars continue to grow into a dynasty in the conference.
