LAKEWOOD, CO- The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced their week six women's basketball players of the week on Monday, and after a stellar trio of games, Victoria Perez has earned the honor of RMAC Defensive Player of the Week. 

Perez started out hot with an incredible defensive effort on Tuesday at Chadron State, picking up nine steals with eight assists, eight points and four rebounds. It was an astounding stat line as she nearly had a triple-double with steals, points and assists. She followed the stellar performance with another good one on Saturday against UCCS, scoring nine points with three more steals and five assists. In the teams' final game before New Years on Sunday, Perez led her team in points with 13 while notching three rebounds, two assists and a steal. It was a tremendous week for the sophomore from El Paso as she led her team to an impressive 4-2 RMAC record heading into 2024.
