LAKEWOOD, CO- Colorado Christian are set for their final two games of the season, taking on Black Hills State on Wednesday followed by South Dakota Mines on Saturday. They will face the Yellow Jackets at home on Wednesday at 7 p.m. MST, and the Hardrockers at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Black Hills State is second place in the conference after a pair of losses to Fort Lewis last week, but they still are ranked #10 nationally and have just lost three games in RMAC play. The two teams met in South Dakota in late January, with the hosts coming out on top 80-51. Joel Scott continues to lead his team with 22.5 points per game, and Matthew Ragsdale follows with 13.8 a contest. Defensively, Scott chips in nine rebounds a game, while Adam Moussa averages 6.2 rpg. Moussa dishes out 5.2 assists per game, and Sindou Cisse averages 2.4 apg. The talented Yellow Jackets will look to get back on track as they prepare for the RMAC tournament.
The Hardrockers sit at 11th in the conference, and will look to climb the standings with five teams sitting at 8-12 and a chance to make the tournament in their final game. Brevin Walter leads his team with 20.3 pg, while Kolten Mortensen pours in 12.3. Mortensen pulls down 5.5 rebounds a game, and Kolton Frugoli snags 5.1 a game. Frugoli tallies 2.7 assists, followed by Walter at 2.6 a contest. With the race for the RMAC tournament on, SDSM will look to better their chances with a win on Saturday.
The Cougars will be looking to get back on track after a close road loss in overtime at MSU Denver this past Saturday. DJ McDonald will surely help, as he scores 14.2 points per game, followed by Jason Gallant at 13.5 a game. Isaiah Alonzo grabs 7.1 boards a game, and Maro Egodotaye snags 4.3 per contest. Gallant facilitates with 3.1 assists per game, and McDonald puts out 2.6 apg. CCU will be looking to close out the season on a high note as they face two more home contests against the two South Dakota teams in the RMAC.
