LAKEWOOD, CO- For the first time in program history, softball has cracked the top 10 nationally in the latest NFCA rankings. After a sweep of MSU Denver over the weekend, the Cougars jumped to 9th from their previous spot of 12.
CCU is on a tear, winning 11 straight games and securing the regular season RMAC title. With a 45-3 record, Colorado Christian have the most wins in division II and have secured the conference title with a 35-1 record. They lead the RMAC in pitching with an astounding team ERA of 1.80, and they are excellent on defense as they lead in that category with a fielding percentage of .969. In all areas of the game, CCU has dominated in conference and non-conference play, leading to their first top 10 ranking in program history.Â
The Cuogars will look to close the regular season strong with a pair of series at Colorado Mesa April 22-23 and at home versus Fort Lewis April 28-29.Â
