LAKEWOOD, CO- The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced their Pitcher of the Week honor on Tuesday, and after three wins on opening weekend in California, Emma Duncan has earned the week one award. 

Duncan was pivotal to her teams' success as they finished a perfect 4-0 on the weekend at the Concordia Kickoff Classic. In a tight battle on day one against Sonoma State, Duncan came in with the Seawolves threatening to score and picked up a pair of key strikeouts to end the threat and eventually send her team to a 2-1 win. 

Duncan returned the next day and was brilliant against Cal State East Bay, pitching a shutout as the game went an inning long. Through eight innings, Duncan allowed just four hits and did not allow anyone to cross the plate as she struck out four and induced 14 flyouts and six groundouts. The performance was key as the Cougars rallied in the eighth to put up three runs in a 3-0 victory. 

The final day of the tournament against Hawaii Pacific saw more of the same dominance from Duncan, as she notched win number three on the weekend against the Sharks. The junior transfer dazzled yet again, pitching five innings and giving up no earned runs for her third straight appearance. After the 10-4 victory closed the tournament for CCU, Duncan earned Most Outstanding Pitcher of the Tourney as she went 3-0 in 13.2 innings pitched and holds a 0.00 Earned Run Average, an incredible feat through three games played.
