LAKEWOOD, CO- The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced their Indoor Track & Field All Academic teams on Wednesday, and four Cougars earned the prestigious honor from the conference.
Colorado Christian had a strong indoor season, and four athletes distinguished themselves both on the track and in the classroom.
Shannon King earned First Team All Academic honors after earning a 4.0 GPA in Psychology. The senior had a strong season, qualifying for Nationals in the mile and garnering second team All American honors in Kansas.
Matthew Storer earned first team honors after achieving a 3.69 GPA in Business. The junior continues to shine, making nationals in the 3k and 5k and earning first team All American honors in both.
Kale Edmonds earns first team after posting an impressive 4.0 grade point average in history of education. The junior took part in five meets this past season, taking part in the 3k and mile primarily for his team.
Klay Grant wrapped up the indoor season with a first team honor after earning a 4.0 GPA in English Education. The sophomore competed in the mile and 800m, and followed a summit award at the cross country championships with another academic award.
