EMPORIA, KS- Colorado Christian kicked off day one of the Outdoor Track & Field National Championships in Kansas as all five of their runners competed on Thursday. The team saw some tremendous results, earning five All-American honors to close a great day of competition from the Cougars. 

Hudson Majeski started things for his team as he took part in the fast paced 1500m. The senior pushed the field to the brink, finishing in 15th place with a time of 3:55.10. The finish gave Majeski Second Team All American honors as he closed an extremely successful time with the Cougars strong. 

Alex Vance followed in the 3000m steeplechase in a competitive field of 19 runners. The senior closed his collegiate career with a run of 9:22.30 as he claimed 15th place overall. The placing gave Vance a Second Team All American to finish out his time with the Cougars after a stellar four seasons. 

Shannon King was up next in the 3000m steeplechase as well, taking on a talented field of competitors. Shannon posted a strong run of 11:01.73 to finish in 15th place when she crossed the line. After the result, King earned Second Team All American distinctions to close the season out. 

The final race for the Cougars featured the talented duo of Matthew Storer and Josh Pierantoni taking part in the 10k finals. Storer was excellent throughout, claiming a fifth place finish with a time of 29:38.27, a personal best run that earned him First Team All American honors, his eighth All America award of his storied career. Pierantoni was stellar as well, placing eighth place in the highly competitive event with a time of 29:46.54. The run gave Pierantoni First Team All American distinction as he closed a tremendous career with his fifth All American award. 

After a highly successful day, the season will come to a close as Storer takes part in the 5000m on Saturday May 25 at 4:25 p.m. MST.
