LAKEWOOD, CO- The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced their 2023-24 Outstanding Team Academic Award Recipients on Tuesday, and after a year that saw CCU bring home the school's national title, the Cougars have been tabbed for this prestigious award for their academic prowess.
Colorado Christian joins 22 other schools across Division II to claim the Outstanding Team Academic Award with a team grade point average of 3.641. Additionally, they are the only team from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference on the list for the distinction. The award comes after a year of firsts for the program as CCU not only took home the first RMAC Championship in program history, but went on to take second at Regionals before going the distance at the National Championships to claim the title. This award speaks to the hard work and dedication of each athlete to committing to excellence on the course in the classroom. This team has truly defined what it means to be a student-athlete and they have reached new heights of success in both areas.
Congratulations to the Cougars on being named a recipient of the 2023-24 GCAA Outstanding Team Academic Award!
