LAKEWOOD, CO- The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced the selections to the Men's Cross Country National Championships on Monday afternoon, and for the sixth straight season the Cougars will compete at the final race of the year as they look to bring home a National Title.
CCU comes into Nationals with momentum after a stellar regular season. The team began the year with a convincing victory at the UCCS Rust Buster that saw eight runners come in the top 15 with
Matthew Storer claiming the individual victory. They continued at the Lewis Crossover, throwing down an excellent race to claim their second team victory of the year. With a fourth place finish at Regionals, the team is ready to gun for a championship and prove they are a powerhouse in cross country. Ranked #6 in the USTFCCCA rankings the past few weeks, the Cougars will look to improve upon their program best third place finish in 2022 as they head to Kenosha to compete amongst the best in the nation.
The NCAA National Championships will take place November 22 in Kenosha, Wisconsin at Wayne E. Dannehl National XC Course. The men's race is set to begin at 10:15 a.m. MST. Stay tuned to ccucougars.com for all updates on Cross Country and CCU Athletics.
