RIVERSIDE, CA- The Cougars headed to California for the West/ South Central Regionals at the historic Victoria Club in Riverside May 8-10. True to the form they have displayed all year, CCU fought their way to an incredibly impressive victory, punching their ticket to the National Championships and winning the programs' first ever NCAA Regional with a team score of -46. 

ROUND ONE 
Sangha Park began the tournament with a fantastic round, carding a 65 on eight birdies to lead his team. Xavier Bighaus followed closely with a 66 on six birdies and an eagle. Peyton Jones continued to play excellent golf as he posted a 68 with six birdies. Adam Duncan finished with a 71 on five birdies, and Sungyeop Cho tallied a 73 with a trio of birdies. 

ROUND TWO 
Leading after day one, the Cougars kept their foot on the gas in the second round as Bighaus fired a 65 with a bogey-free round that featured seven birdies, including five straight to close the back nine. Duncan sank seven birdies on his way to a 68, and Jones posted a 69 with four birdies and an eagle. Park shot a 70 with five birdies, and Cho closed with a 73 with a pair of birdies. 

ROUND THREE
Park closed out the final day with a 67 as he fired five birdies and an eagle to finish second overall. Eight birdies from Duncan saw him post a 65, and a 73 from Bighaus sent him into a tie for third with Duncan. Jones closed with a 74 as he took second overall, and Cho fired a 71 as he claimed 65th. 

As a team, the Cougars fired an excellent overall score of 818 (270, 272, 276) as they took down their nearest competitor by 14 strokes to win the first ever Regional in program history by going 46 strokes under par. 

The Cougars will look to finish what they started at the NCAA National Championships May 19-23 at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
