LAKEWOOD, CO- Legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus presented the 2025 DII Jack Nicklaus Award presented by Workday on Sunday at his annual Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio. Adam Duncan became the first golfer in CCU history to receive the highly prestigious award as his incredible season earned the #1 ranked golfer in DII this incredible honor. 

Adam was a finalist for the second straight season for the award, and the second time was the charm as he had an outstanding senior season to claim the award. The other four finalists were teammate Sangha Park, reigning winner Leandro Mihaich of Oklahoma Christian, Cooper Tendick from West Florida and Seth Bearden of Midwestern State. 

Duncan had a marvelous senior season, claiming RMAC Player of the Year for the second straight year, receiving an All-Region nod and placing 12th at the National Championships as he claimed All-American honors. The senior posted four tournament victories and 7 top 3 finishes as he boasts an incredible scoring average of 68.7. Recently selected to the prestigious Arnold Palmer Cup in June, Duncan has aspirations of playing golf professionally as he closed out a memorable career at Colorado Christian. The California native appears to be well on his way to playing pro golf as he looks to help team USA win at the Arnold Palmer Cup and now can add the Jack Nicklaus Golfer of the Year to his lengthy list of accolades. 

The honor is one that is extremely well-deserved as Duncan has exemplified excellence in all he does as a player and as a Christian. The joy and humility he shows on the course is an example to others, and he leads with a grateful heart as he steps into the next chapter of his journey in the game of golf.
