Lance Christensen Jr. & Bradley Mulder Named DII Ping Honorable Mention All-Americans

LAKEWOOD, CO- The NCAA Division II Ping All-American Teams were announced Friday morning, and after excellent seasons, Lance Christensen Jr. and Bradley Mulder earned themselves Honorable Mention All-America Honors for their stellar play throughout the season.

Christensen Jr. spent his final collegiate season at Colorado Christian, and the fifth year player came up big for his team all year and closed in excellent fashion. He began with an 11th place finish at the San Juan Intercollegiate, and he finished the fall with a top 15 finish at the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate. He continued to build momentum in the spring, taking 5th at the final regular season invite. A 20th place individual finish at the DII West/ South Central Regional set the stage for an incredible finish to the season. Lance saved his best for last, firing rounds of 69, 70 and 64 in stroke play with 10 birdies and four eagles as he claimed medalist honors with a second place finish on the biggest stage. He closed his final round of college golf with a 67 on three birdies and an eagle as he took down his opponent in match play by two strokes to finish in style. Overall, Christensen Jr. tallied a scoring average of 72.5 in 34 total rounds as part of a truly special season for the Cougars as he earned All-American honors.

Mulder transferred back to CCU in the spring after spending the first two seasons of his college career with the Cougars and the fall season at the University of Missouri. Already a national champion and national runner-up at CCU, the junior came in and immediately made an impact once again. He started with a 7th place finish at the Visit Stockton DII Invite, and he followed with a 3rd place finish at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout. After closing the regular season with a 6th place finish, Mulder carded rounds of 68, 70 and 34 in a shortened final round due to wind to become the fourth straight Cougar to claim the individual RMAC title. Mulder and the Cougars closed their fantastic season by qualifying for match play for the third straight year at the NCAA National Championships, and Bradley is primed for a fantastic senior season as he earns All-American honors to close year 3 of college golf.

Congratulations to Lance Christensen Jr. and Bradley Mulder on being named DII Ping Honorable Mention All-Americans!
