The Cougars welcome a plethora of new faces for the upcoming 2026 Fall Season. After a 3-8-6 campaign last season, CCU looks to a new page for an exciting upcoming roster and season.
Kenzie Kunitz
Kenzie Kunitz joins the Cougars from Dallas, Texas, where she played for the Dallas Texans Soccer Club. An accomplished goalkeeper, Kunitz was named to the National Cup Finals All-Tournament Team in 2023 and earned All-District Second-Team honors in 2024. Most recently, Kunitz was named the HSAA Defensive Player of the Year for the 2025-26 season. A true freshman, Kunitz looks to bring a strong presence between the posts and help bolster the Cougars' defense this season.
Jordyn Rollins
Jordyn Rollins comes to the Cougars from nearby Colorado Springs, where she attended Colorado Springs Christian School. An impressive multi-sport athlete, Rollins won three state championships, including two in basketball and one in soccer. The midfielder brings intensity, composure, and athleticism to the Cougars' midfield and looks to be a vital piece of the team's success this season.
Lauren Meade
Lauren Meade joins the Cougars as a true freshman from Tacoma, Washington, where she attended Silas High School and played for Washington Premier FC. Coming off a strong high school campaign, Meade brings a fresh attacking presence to the Cougars' front line. As she begins her collegiate career, Meade looks to continue developing her game and help the Cougars find the back of the net this season.
Kylah Bennett
Kylah Bennett, a true freshman from Castaic, California, joins the Cougars from Hart High School. An outside back, Bennett comes to CCU following successful club campaigns that included an NPL National Semifinal appearance and an ECNL National Sweet 16 appearance. Bennett brings skill and talent to the Cougars' backline and looks to make an impact on both sides of the ball throughout her freshman season.
Kayla Truong
Kayla Truong returns home to Colorado after spending last season at RMAC opponent Black Hills State. Truong appeared in all 18 games for the Yellow Jackets, earning seven starts and scoring two goals. The reigning Continental 4A Player of the Year, Truong brings valuable collegiate experience and an attacking presence to the Cougars. She looks to help kickstart the Cougar offense and build toward a successful season in Lakewood.
Reese Martinez
Reese Martinez joins the Cougars after spending time at Franklin Pierce University, returning home to Colorado as an Evergreen native. A standout at Golden High School, Martinez earned numerous accolades throughout her high school career, including Honorable Mention and Second-Team All-Conference honors, Honorable Mention All-State, First-Team All-Conference, Second-Team All-State, and First-Team All-Academic honors. A clever and technical midfielder, Martinez brings valuable collegiate experience, creativity, and composure to the Cougars' midfield this season.
Olivia Martin
A standout from Glendora, California, Olivia Martin joins the Cougars after attending Glendora High School and playing for Sporting California. A decorated midfielder, Martin earned First-Team All-League, First-Team All-Area, and First-Team All-Academic honors, while also being named Offensive Player of the Year and Girls Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Martin brings a proven track record of success to the Cougars' midfield and looks to make an impact both on and off the field this season.
Brooke Berens
Brooke Berens, hailing from Port Orchard, Washington, joins the Cougars as a true freshman from Crosspoint Christian School, where she played for PACNW ECNL. A decorated multi-sport athlete, Berens was named Kitsap County Girls Soccer Player of the Year in 2023 and 2025 and helped lead her team to WIAA State Soccer Championships in both seasons. Berens also claimed a WIAA state championship in the 800-meter run in 2023. A player with speed and creativity, Berens will make a strong impact from the start.
Willa Hinck
Willa Hinck joins the Cougars as a freshman from Moss Beach, California. A versatile attacking player who can play both forward and midfield, Hinck looks to begin her collegiate career by contributing to the Cougars' attack and continuing to grow as a player during her time at CCU.
Layla Pappas
Layla Pappas returns to Colorado Springs as a senior transfer after spending time at RMAC rival UCCS. A midfielder with collegiate experience, Pappas brings valuable familiarity with the RMAC and a proven track record of success, earning All-State honors during her senior year of high school. Pappas looks to make an immediate impact in the Cougars' midfield and help the team compete for a successful season.
Ava Haas
Ava Haas, a Cypress, California native, joins the Cougars as a junior transfer after spending time at the University of Northern Colorado. A proven offensive talent, Haas earned Girls Soccer MVP, Offensive Player of the Year, and Offensive MVP honors during her high school career. Bringing collegiate experience and a strong attacking presence to CCU, Haas looks to make an impact for the Cougars' offense in finding the net this season.
Gracie Brown
Gracie Brown, a San Diego, California native, joins the Cougars as a junior transfer from RMAC rival UCCS. A center back, Brown brings collegiate experience and a mature defensive mindset to the backline. During her high school career, Brown was a four-time Scholar-Athlete Award recipient, earned Honor Roll recognition in all four years, and was selected as an All-Valley League Defender in 2024. Brown looks to bring her experience and defensive ability to the Cougars this season.
Emilia Hendricks
Emilia Hendricks joins the Cougars from Woodbury, Minnesota, a true freshman from New Life Academy. A strong forward, Hendricks earned All-Conference honors three times and was named to the All-State team during her high school career. Hendricks was a two-time Dean's list recipient, displaying her ability on and off the field. Hendricks looks to bring her ability and skill to the Cougar offense over the upcoming season.
The Cougars begin their new campaign Thursday, August 27th in Weatherford against Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Kickoff set for 3:00 pm local time; this will be the first of two games in Oklahoma.
