LAKEWOOD, CO – As the Colorado Christian men's soccer program continues to move forward, head coach Brad Camp has added a set of twins to his 2020 roster.
The duo of Ben and Silas Hess from Bemidji, MN are welcomed to the squad after excellent prep careers in the North Star State. The duo helped lead the school to three appearances in the state tournament – including the program's first ever appearance. They reach the state finals in 2018. Moreover, the squad won three section championships.
"Ben and Silas are exactly the type of recruits we want for the Colorado Christian men's soccer program," said Camp. "They have faith, athleticism, competitiveness, skill, and a hunger to be great at this level. I knew the first time I saw them play live that we needed them here, and I could not be more excited for what they will bring to this program."
SILAS HESS
As a center midfielder and forward at Bemidji High School, Silas filled the stat sheet. He is the all-time leader in his high school's history for assists (54) and points (122). He ranks second in school history with 68 goals. He was a four-year starter and earned all-conference honor in each of those seasons. Silas was also a three-time all-state selection and one of five finalists for the State Player of the Year. He was also a member of the tennis, basketball and football teams. Currently he plans to major in Secondary Education.
BENJAMIN HESS
Benjamin played along the back lines as well as in the midfield during his solid prep campaign. He was a four-time all-conference honoree and earned all-state accolades in 2019. A four-year varsity starter, he scored 29 goals and registered 35 assists in his career. In addition to his on-field exploits he earned all-academic recognition three times.
