Adams State ... Again and Again and Again

Heading into the year, the Cougars were slated to play Adams State once as a countable RMAC contest as well as in a non-conference game. However, due to unforeseen circumstances the two teams played last Saturday in Lakewood which will be the first of three meetings this season.

Recapping Last Week

Colorado Christian played just once last week as they posted a 2-1 victory against the Grizzles. Silas Hess scored the opening goal in the 13th minute. After Adams State tied the contest a few minutes later, Liam Lakey scored what proved to be the game winner in the 32nd minute.

It moved the Cougars to a 3-0 on the season, marking the second consecutive season the program has started with three wins in their first three games.

The Season Stats

As a team the Cougars are one of five conference teams averaging two goals per game - the second best average in the RMAC.

Gabe Roloff has scored twice with Hess, Tobi Osifodunrin, Lakey and Jorge Lopez each finding the back of the net once.  Adrian DIez has assisted on two goals.

Among field players Caiden Dixon leads the team with 272 minutes played with Chayce Willet (259) just behind him. Max Collingwood has played in each of the squad's 276 minutes.

Road Warriors

Dating back to last season, the Cougars have won seven of their last eight road contests. It is the best eight game road steak in school history. During the abbreviated spring 2021 season, Colorado lost just one of their road contests (at Colorado School of Mines), while posting a 5-1 record on the road.

History in (Spring) 2021

The 6-5 mark the Cougars tallied during their spring season marked the first time in school history they achieved a winning record. It was accomplished in sweet fashion as they won their final game of the year at CSU Pueblo (1-0). It was just the second win in program history at the conference rival in 16 road contests at CSU Pueblo.

They started the year 4-0, marking the first time that has ever happen in school history.
