National Ranking Update, Men: No. 5, Women: No. 21

LAKEWOOD, CO – Another week in the national polls for the Colorado Christian cross country teams.

For the second straight week both the men's and women's program earned national recognition from the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association.

The men's teams reached a best ever ranking of fifth. Heading into last week's Roadrunner Invitational the Cougars were No. 10 but after an outstanding race, in which they finished in second place to No. 1 Colorado School of Mines, they moved up five positions.

On the women's side the Cougars moved up six spots from last week to the No. 21 slot this week. Colorado Christian outdistanced themselves from several region foes at the Roadrunner Invitational and placed third behind No. 2 Colorado School of Mines and NCAA Division I Colorado State.

Both teams get a chance to defend their rankings on Saturday, Oct. 9 at the Lewis Crossover in Quincy, IL. The meet typically draws numerous rank teams.
