LAKEWOOD, CO – For the first time in his standout career, Liam Lakey was recognized as RMAC Offensive Player of the Week. 

This is the first time a Colorado Christian player was awarded the league's Offensive Player of the Week honor since Ben Hess earned the accolade last year.

In Colorado Christian's two games last week, Lakey scored all three of the Cougar's goals leading them to a 1-0 victory against South Dakota Mines and a 2-1 win against UCCS. During Friday's win against the Hardrocker's he scored his second goal of the season in the 64th minute. He followed that up two days later with a pair of goals less than seven minutes apart in the Cougar's intense win against the Mountain Lions.

Colorado Christian have not won against UCCS since the 2004 season. This continues the program's winning streak with an overall 6-0 record which has never been seen before in Colorado Christian men's soccer history.

So far, the senior has played 419 minutes and has started five out of their six games played. He has the most shots on his team totaling 14 shots with nine of them on frame, and four goals overall.
