ST. LOUIS, MO- Colorado Christian headed to Missouri to take part in the National Championship Preview at Fox Run Golf Club, a place they hope to revisit in the spring in the NCAA championships. The Cougars were one of 16 talented teams competing, and they took ninth overall at the tournament.
ROUND ONE
Kiersten Bryant led off round one with a 77 on a pair of birdies. Courtney Andersson followed with a 79 with three birdies while Emily Donaldson and Raya Schulz each carded 81s. Makenna Brown closed with a 97.
Mary Beth Doss, playing as an individual, shot an 89 in the initial round of play.
ROUND TWO
Andersson led her team in the second round, posting a 76. Donaldson followed with a 78 while Brown put up a 79. Bryant closed with an 80 and Schulz carded an 82.
Doss shot an 84 as the Cougars headed into the final round.
ROUND THREE
Andersson closed play with a 78 with two birdies as she claimed 22nd place overall. Donaldson tallied a 79 to tie for 33rd while Bryant an 83 to tie for 39th. Schulz and Brown each carded 82s to finish tied for 56th and 80th respectively.
Doss finished with an 87 as she placed 83rd overall at the invite.
Rounds of 318, 313 and 321 gave CCU a total of 952 as they claimed ninth place out of 16 teams at the preview.
UP NEXT- The Cougars will close the fall portion of their season as they head to St. Augustine, Florida to take part in the Flagler Fall Slam October 24-25.
