SAN ANTONIO, TX- Colorado Christian began the spring season February 23-24 as they competed at the Rattler Invitational held at Dominion Country Club in San Antonio. The Cougars finished 14th in a competitive field to start their spring off.
ROUND ONE
Raya Schulz led off round one with a 74 with four birdies, while
Hannah Martin followed with an 81. 82s from
Kendall Simms and
Kylee Hughes closed their first rounds, and
Makenna Brown finished with an 85.
ROUND TWO
Simms paced her team in the second round with a 75, followed by Schulz with a 79. An 80 from Brown and an 85 from Hughes was followed by an 86 from Martin as CCU headed into the final round.
ROUND THREE
Schulz fired an 80 as she closed in 32nd place. Simms claimed 52nd with an 81, while Brown and Hughes each shot 80s to take 72nd and 76th respectively. A final round 89 from Martin gave her 81st as the Cougars closed their first tournament of the spring.
Overall, CCU shot a 959 (319, 319, 321) to close in 14th place.
The Cougars will return to action March 9-10 as they compete at the CSUSM Fujikara Invitational at Shadowridge Golf Club in Vista, California.
