GOODYEAR, AZ- The Cougars closed the regular season in Arizona at the RJGA Palm Valley Classic April 3-4. After two rounds of competition against a large 27 team field, CCU finished in a tie for 11th place overall as they now set their sights on the postseason.
ROUND ONE
Kendall Simms started out on fire, sinking six birdies on her way to a tremendous four-under 68.
Raya Schulz and
Makenna Brown followed with 75s, while
Kylee Hughes carded a 76.
Hannah Martin fired an 85, while
Anna Mettler posted a 78 as she competed as an individual.
ROUND TWO
Simms closed with a 78 as she tied for 12th overall, while Schulz finished the final round with a 76 to tie for 41st. Brown shot a 77 to tie for 47th, while Hughes tallied a 78 to tie for 72nd. Martin finished with an 83, while Mettler closed with an 82.
Overall, the Cougars totaled 603 (294, 309) to claim a tie for 11th.
Colorado Christian will now prepare for the upcoming RMAC Championships April 19-21 at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada.
