Vista, CA – The Cougars took on their second tournament of the year, competing in the Fujikura Invitational at Shadowridge Golf Club in Vista, California. The three round affair saw the Cougars finish tied for 9
th overall.
ROUND ONE
Kendall Simms and
Makenna Brown would lead the team opening round, each shooting a 77 to start the tournament off.
Raya Schulz would follow close behind with an 80,
Kylee Hughes shooting an 81 and
Anna Mettler shooting an 83.
ROUND TWO
Day two would see
Anna Mettler shoot a team leading 79, with all four Cougars close behind.
Makenna Brown and
Kylee Hughes would each shoot an 81, with
Kendall Simms and
Raya Schulz each shooting an 82.
ROUND THREE
The final day of the tournament would see the best day for the Cougars. Senior
Raya Schulz would lead the team, shooting a stellar 2 birdie 74,
Kendall Simms right behind with a 75.
Kylee Hughes and
Makenna Brown would follow with a 75 and 77 respectively, Hughes managing three birdies in her round. Mettler would close with an 87 to close the tournament.
Overall, the Cougars shot a 942, (315, 323, 304) for a 9
th place finish, a 17 stroke improvement from last tournament.

rd in Pueblo for the CSU Pueblo Southern Colorado Open at the familiar Walking Stick Golf Course.
