Cougars Take Fourth at Desert Invite

TUCSON, AZ- The Cougars had a quick turnaround from their last invite on Friday through Saturday as they once again hit the links April 4-5 at the West Texas A&M Desert Invite. The team had some stellar performances as they took fourth out of 18 schools competing in Arizona. 

ROUND ONE
Emily Donaldson started strong, posting a 73 in round one for just one over par. Donaldson collected four birdies on the way to a great starting round. Courtney Andersson followed a stroke behind with a 74 and a pair of birdies. 

Kiersten Bryant led off the tournament with a 76 and Faith Kilgore netted a 79. Emily Doeden closed with an 82 as the Cougars headed into day two.

ROUND TWO
Donaldson had another strong round, shooting a 75 to place sixth overall at a tournament full of talent. Andersson came in right behind her, posting a 75 to take home seventh. Bryant shot an 83 to place 34th and Kilgore posted an 83 to come in 42nd. Doeden shot an 84 to place 63rd.

Colorado Christian shot an overall score of 618 to place fourth at the Invite. 


UP NEXT- The Cougars will now prepare for the RMAC Championships that will take place April 17-19 at the Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler, Arizona.
