LAKEWOOD, CO- Another strong weekend for CCU means another climb up the NFCA rankings for the Cougars. Following a sweep of Mines, Colorado Christian now sits at #14 in the latest rankings released today.
Prior to this season, the Cougars had not been nationally ranked in program history. They first appeared in the top 25 at #21, followed by a #17 ranking last week. As their win streak has now reached 26 games, they now find themselves steadily moving up the list at 14.
The record for most wins in a row in program history was set last year at 29 games. CCU will have a shot to break that record this weekend when they host Adams State March 18-19. Colorado Christian has not lost since the first day of the season, and their combination of excellent pitching, timely hitting and stellar defense has them atop the RMAC standings as they look to hit 30 wins in a row this weekend.
Be sure to come on out to All Star Park to watch this record breaking team as they begin with a doubleheader on March 18 at 12 and 2 p.m. MST.
