LAKEWOOD, CO- After Colorado Christian secured a second consecutive RMAC Tournament Title, and Regional Berth, the South Central Regional Seedings have been released. With an incredible 55-4 overall record, CCU is the #2 seed at the four-team regional that will be played at West Texas A&M.
The Cougars have been one of the highest ranked teams in the region all year, and were rewarded for their play with their highest regional seeding in program history. As the second ranked team just behind UT Tyler, CCU will take on #7 seeded St. Mary's at 4 p.m. MST this Thursday, as they look to claim a victory and move into the winner's bracket.
The top 2 seeds ordinarily host, but due to facility considerations, the host bid went to WTAMU. The Cougars are in the midst of their most successful season in program history and it is only fitting they receive their highest regional seeding ever as a result. As CCU looks forward to breaking ground on the A & K Athletics Complex, the new softball exclusive facility will meet all NCAA event hosting specifications.
