Colorado Christian Win RMAC Sportsmanship Cup for Sixth Consecutive Year

LAKEWOOD, CO- The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced the annual winner of the Sportsmanship Cup on Wednesday, and for the sixth consecutive year and tenth time overall, Colorado Christian has been honored with the award.

The tenth cup for the Cougars is the most of any school in the RMAC since the award was introduced in the 2006-2007 season.

The RMAC Sportsmanship Cup is designed to honor the institution which upholds the sportsmanship ideals held by the RMAC and the NCAA. The RMAC strives to promote sportsmanship and ethical conduct in every aspect of intercollegiate athletics. Student-athletes, coaches, administrators, officials, and spectators should act with respect and dignity as to uphold the integrity of themselves, their institutions, the NCAA, and intercollegiate athletics as a whole.

"I deeply respect and appreciate the excellence with which our athletes are competing within their respective venues, and the character they demonstrate in the midst of competition.  At CCU our desire is always to compete with excellence in every way for an Audience of 1, Jesus Christ," Athletic Director Brian Wall said.

Voting for the award is done by institutional Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) team representatives and coaches. Voters consider the conduct of the student-athletes and coaches only.

Congratulations to all our student athletes and coaches for showing good sportsmanship throughout their respective sports to bring the cup home for the sixth year in a row!
