GOODYEAR, AZ- The Cougars headed to Arizona to take part in the RJGA Shootout at Estrella September 18-19. CCU played through two rounds with 14 other teams, claiming 11th in the end. 

ROUND ONE
Newcomer Anna Mettler came out firing in the first round, playing her way to an impressive 71 with five birdies. Kylee Hughes followed with a 75, while Mary Beth Doss carded a 76. Makenna Brown matched her teammate with a 76, while Raya Schulz finished with a 77. 

ROUND TWO
Hughes made a push in the second round, carding a 74 as she came in a tie for 22nd overall. Mattler posted a 78 as she tied her teammate for 22nd. Schulz closed with a 76 as she came in a tie for 36th. Doss carded a final round 78 as she tied for 41st overall. Brown finished with a 79 to tie for 46th at the shootout. 

As a team, the Cougars scored 28 over par to claim 11th place in Arizona out of the 14 teams competing. 

CCU will compete next at the Wasatch Invitational at Glenmoor Country Club in Utah September 24-26.
