LAKEWOOD, CO- The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced their week six top 25 coaches poll, and after a dominant sweep of UCCS over the weekend, the Cougars jumped two spots to #8 in the country.
Colorado Christian had to be flexible with their schedule and headed down to Pueblo to take on UCCS at Rawlings Softball Complex for a four-game series. CCU dominated the Mountain Lions, allowing one run over four games played in a sweep of the four contests. With wins of 7-0, 9-0, 11-1 and 9-0, the team now sits at 25-4 overall and 17-3 in the RMAC. The Cougars blasted five homers over the weekend, and they will look to keep their fantastic pitching and hot hitting going as they continue conference play.Â
CCU will return home for a four-game set with CSU Pueblo March 22-23 at All Star Park with doubleheaders at noon and 2 p.m. MST and 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. MST.
