LAKEWOOD, CO- The Tucci/ NFCA DII Player and Pitcher of the Year Watchlist was announced on Thursday, and Kaila Eastburn and Kenzie Middleton find themselves on the list for their tremendous efforts so far in 2024. 

Eastburn finds herself on the watchlist as a pitcher, as she holds a 2.43 ERA with a record of 8-1. The graduate transfer from Grand Canyon University has been lights out in the circle all year, striking out a team high 53 batters and throwing a no-hitter against UCCS earlier in March. With nine starts under her belt and a WHIP of 1.09. Eastburn is certainly going to be integral to the success of her team as the Cougars move into conference tournament and postseason play in April. 

Middleton makes the list as a 2023 NFCA All-American and South Central Regional Player of the Year. So far this season, Kenzie is slashing for an average of .436 with an OPS of 1.303. Starting all 33 of the teams' games primarily at catcher and some in left field, Middleton has blasted 10 homers and a team high 45 RBI. With a slugging percentage of .803, Kenzie has powered her team to a 29-4 record as she looks to lead her team as they approach postseason play.
