LAKEWOOD, CO- The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Announced their All-Conference Honors on Thursday, and six Cougars have been awarded as a result of their efforts at the RMAC Championships.
Ashley Vil garnered First Team All-Conference honors after a strong showing in the triple jump. The junior leaped an impressive 11.56m at the conference championships, taking home a third place finish as a result. The podium spot gives Vil first team honors to close a strong indoor season.
The Men's Distance Medley Relay team of Trent Cochran, Hudson Majeski, Mateo Luna and Matthew Storer took home first team All-Conference after winning the event at the RMAC championships. The team displayed incredible endurance, staying connected with the pack before battling Western Colorado at the final turn. Storer had one last kick, overtaking the Mountaineers and crossing the line in first place as the team posted a time of 9:52.41.
Shannon King nabbed second team honors as she impressed in the mile at the championships. Needing a fast time to qualify for Nationals, King raced her way to a fourth place finish with a time of 4:47.84 as she got the time needed for a Nationals spot in the highly competitive race.

Luna took second team honors individually in the 800m, claiming sixth place with a run of 1:56.25 to close out a strong indoor season for the sophomore.
