LAKEWOOD, CO- The finalists for the NCAA Division II Jack Nicklaus Award presented by Workday were announced on Thursday, and after a truly memorable season that is not done yet,
Adam Duncan has been named among the five golfers up for the award.
Duncan joins Drew Coble of Grand Valley State, Leandro Mihaich of Oklahoma Christian, Sangha Park of UTPB and Jack Vajda of North Georgia as a finalist for this prestigious award.
The legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus helped inspire and created the award in 1988, and it is now presented annually to the National Player of the Year in NCAA Divisions I, II, III as well as NAIA and NJCAA.
To say it is an honor to be considered for this award is an understatement, but Duncan is extremely deserving as he has displayed excellence on and off the course throughout the year. With a scoring average of 70.1 and a pair of wins at the RMAC Championships and the Las Vegas Desert Classic, Adam has been nothing short of tremendous for the Cougars. He has now finished in the top 10 in 10 tournaments with six top three finishes as he is currently ranked as the #4 golfer in the country.
Not only is he excellent on the course, Duncan displays a fervor for Christ and leads by example. He was recently named the 2024 Male AD Award Winner at the CCU Athletics Banquet, a yearly honor given to the student-athlete that best exemplifies what it is to model Christ in their sport and to truly live what Colorado Christian athletics is all about. He is a man of great character and love for Christ, something he will continue to display at the upcoming National Championships May 21-25 in Winter Garden, Florida.
The winner of the Jack Nicklaus Award will be announced on June 4 at the annual Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio.
