PUEBLO, CO- Track and FIeld sent six runners to the CSU Pueblo Last Chance Meet as they made a final push to improve their times on the NCAA Provisional Qualifying List. All six ran well, highlighted by a win in the 1500m from Hudson Majeski with a time that will move him up the qualifying list as Nationals approach. 

Shannon King led off for the women in the 1500m, running a time of 4:44.70 in the competitive event. Michelle Burroughs took part in the 800m, posting a run of 2:15.58 in the virtual sprint. 

For the men, Trent Cochran was strong in the 5000m, running a time of 14:40.55. Cochran already sits at 23rd in the country in the event with a run of 13:58.39 in California earlier this year. Majeski was tremendous in the 1500m, running an altitude converted time of 3:43.16 to vault himself to sixth in the country in the event. Hudson pulled away from the field to win the event as he is primed for Nationals at the end of May. Mateo Luna ran in the 1500m as well, posting a time of 3:56.79. Mason Gansz closed in the 800m, running a 2:05.92 to close the meet. 

The Cougars have a plethora of athletes on the NCAA Provisional Qualifying list, and they will now wait to see their seeding and qualification for Nationals that will take place May 23-25 in Emporia, Kansas.
