LAKEWOOD, CO- The Academic All-American teams have been announced by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) and a trio of Cougars have earned this prestigious award for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom.
Logan Menzies garnered a first team nod, while
Kayla Middleton was tabbed second team followed by
Kenzie Middleton with a third team honor.
Menzies earned a spot on the first team for the second straight year as she achieved an impressive 4.0 GPA in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling. The graduate student was a huge piece in her teams' 50 win season, playing primarily in right field while maintaining excellence in the classroom. For her outstanding achievements on and off the field, Menzies has been named a First Team Academic All-American.Â
Kayla nabs her first Academic All American honor with a spot on the second team. The senior posted a 3.76 GPA in Business Administration throughout the year. Playing at second base and primarily batting leadoff, Kayla was integral in taking her team to their third straight Regionals appearance. For her consistently on the field and in her studies, Kayla is a Second Team Academic All American.Â
Kenzie earned a spot on the third team, marking the second straight year she has been on the list as she was a second team honoree in 2023. Kenzie earned a GPA of 3.76 in Business Administration. The catcher and left fielder ended her final campaign with the Cougars in style, setting records and leading her team to another tremendous season. Kenzie showed what a true student-athlete looks like, and for her efforts has earned a Third Team Academic All American nod.Â
