Women's Golf Adds Talented Duo to Team Ahead of Fall Season

LAKEWOOD, CO- The women's golf team is getting ready to kick off their year in just a few weeks, and the team has added a pair of talented freshmen to bolster the team as they begin the new season.

Hannah Martin comes to Colorado Christian from Flower Mound, Texas. Martin was homeschooled there and competed at HSAA, a Christian organization dedicated to providing homeschoolers a chance to participate in competitive organized team sports. The talented athlete was a member of the National Honor Society, achieved a 4.0 GPA, was a captain three years of high school for her golf team and was named MVP of her team two years in a row all while also starring in volleyball. Martin is looking forward to being able to practice and travel with the team, something she did by herself throughout high school. Hannah expressed her excitement for being a part of a team and enjoying the higher level of competition that collegiate sports entails.

Elliana McKinley arrives at CCU from Austin, Texas where she attended and played at Regents School of Austin. McKinley was a standout in a state that produces a lot of talented golfers, earning Coram Deo and All-State selection for her efforts. Elliana is looking forward to competing at the next level, and hopes to create lifetime friends and win a National championship at CCU.

You can catch the women's golf team as they begin the fall season September 9-10 at the Swan Memorial hosted at Broadlands Golf Course in Broomfield, Colorado.
