PUEBLO, CO- Cross Country headed south to Pueblo on Saturday as they raced in the NCAA South Central Regionals at Walking Stick Golf Course. The women finished their season with a 12th place finish, while the men claimed fourth place with a top 10 finish from
Matthew Storer.
The women started the morning in the 6k, and
Alysia Wagner threw down a strong effort as she claimed 38th with a run of 22:07.6.
Lorelei Daugherty was next with a 22:25.0, and
Rachel Harpt ran a 23:00.0.
Kaylie Bookout closed with a 23:13.6, while
Nora Thompson ran a 23:15.7.
Ava Ackley finished with a time of 23:32.9, and
Kate Miller finished with a time of 25:01.0.
The men followed as they took part in the 10k, and the team had an excellent race to claim fourth overall. Storer paced his team as he finished in ninth place with a time of 30:35.8.
Noah Lambers was stellar as he claimed 19th with a 31:013, and
Alex Vance came in close behind in 22nd with a 31:08.2.
Caleb Hershey took 27th with a 31:20.2, while
Tyler Scholl claimed 36th with a 31:44.1.
Klay Grant ran a 32:03.6, and
Mateo Luna closed with a 32:04.9.
The women claimed 12th place out of the 26 teams competing in Pueblo as they closed their 2025 season. The men's fourth place finish should be enough to send them to their sixth straight NCAA National Championships, with the official announcement to come on Monday November 10 on ncaa.com.
