SAN ANTONIO, TX- Colorado Christian competed in their first tournament of the spring Monday through Tuesday at the Rattler Invitational held at Dominion Country Club. After two hard fought rounds on day one and a final 18 holes on Tuesday, the Cougars finished in 8th place out of the 16 teams participating. 

ROUND ONE 
Kylee Hughes got off to a strong start, carding a 78 with four birdies to lead her team in the initial round. Mary Beth Doss posted an 83 with a birdie, while Makenna Brown also registered an 83 on a birdie. Raya Schulz finished with an 83 as well, and Anna Mettler closed with an 86. 

ROUND TWO
The team turned around and began another 18 hole round right after the first, and Schulz was stellar in round two, carding a 74 with a trio of birdies. Hughes and Doss came next with a pair of 76s with Hughes posting four birdies and Doss with two. Mettler closed with an 88 to finish the day. 

ROUND THREE
Schulz closed with a 78 as she finished in a tie for 29th. Hughes tied her teammate in 29th with a final round 81, while Brown posted a strong 77 to tie for 34th. Doss shot an 83 as she tied for 54th, and Mettler finished with an 86 to claim 79th. 

As a team, the Cougars shot a total of 949 (327, 303, 319) to claim 8th place overall at the tournament. 

Colorado Christian will return to their home state to take part in the Southern Colorado Open at Pueblo Country Club March 23-24.
