LAKEWOOD, CO- The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) released their initial cross country Runners of the Week on Wednesday, and after a stellar first race of the year,
Matthew Storer has earned the week honor from both.
The Colorado Springs native appeared to be right at home at the UCCS Rust Buster at Monument Valley Park this past Saturday, cruising his way to a season opening victory. With a blazing fast time in the 8k of 24:44.1, Storer secured his second straight win to open the season as he won in South Dakota to start the 2024 season as well. The victory sets Matt up well for a strong 2025 campaign as he looks to claim a National title after finishing 3rd and 4th the last two years at Nationals.
Congratulations to
Matthew Storer on being named the USTFCCCA National Player of the Week and RMAC Cross Country Runner of the Week!
